Porsche 911 tested by Chris Harris & evo magazine

One of our favourite journos in our favourite new car. Should be good...

evo magazine has come under a lot of criticism recently from readers claiming that they have a massive Porsche 911 bias. This is mainly because a 911 variant has won their Car of the Year shootout more than any other car, including this year's verdict placing the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 ahead of cars like the Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren MP4-12C. The thing is, we believe evo aren't being biased, having driven many iterations of fast 911 they simply are some of the best handling cars available, and though we haven’t piloted the RS 4.0 yet it is supposed to be the absolute zenith of 911-ness.

But now there's a new 991 - known as the 991 - and so who better to deliver a verdict than evo. And who better to deliver the verdict for evo than Chris Harris. Harris is also a self-confessed Porschophile, being one of the very lucky few to own an RS 4.0 and has owned many more 911s over the years. So we were very much looking forward to his review of the new 911, and here it is in all its fantastically sideways glory:

So that’s a big thumbs-up from Harris and evo then. We already knew that it is the best looking 911 for many years, but now it seems as if it's also the best to drive. We can't wait to get behind the wheel ourselves and find out!
