Seat reveals the new Toledo
Seat has officially released additional photos and first details of the all-new Toledo.
Looking almost the same as the Toledo concept which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the 5-door small hatchback is essentially a rebadged version of the recently unveiled Skoda Rapid.
There are new head and tail lights for the Toledo along with a more angular grille and front bumper arrangement, but other than that the body is the same as the Rapid. Inside it’s the same story, but the Seat gets a lighter looking interior to the Skoda.
The new Toledo measures 4.48 meters long with a wheelbase of 2602mm (80mm longer than the previous Toledo II). Unlike its predecessor which had a conventional boot lid, the new Toledo features a large wide-opening rear hatch.
Initial engines available at launch include the usual Volkswagen Group units. They are:
1.2 litre TSI producing 73 bhp and CO2 emissions of 116 g/km
1.4 litre TSI producing 118 bhp
1.6 litre TDI with outputs of 102 bhp and CO2 emissions of 104 g/km
During 2013, SEAT will add an 87 bhp TDI variant
The new Toledo will launch in Spain and Portugal in mid-November followed by the rest of Europe during 2013. Prices will be confirmed soon.
