Nissan Juke Nismo revealed

Doesn't make it any prettier...

Nissan has today revealed images of the Nissan Juke Nismo production model and announced that the world premiere will take place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race from June 13th to the 17th. We first saw the Juke Nismo as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2011 and the performance orientated compact crossover represents the first in a series of new Nismo models for Nissan.

It features a new aerodynamic body kit consisting of front and rear bumpers, wider wings, side skirts, a modified grille and tailgate spoiler along with new 18-inch alloy wheels. Other tweaks to the regular Juke include stiffer suspension, more direct steering and torque vectoring for improved handling. There is also red detailing to the front bumper, rear spoiler and exhaust tip.

Inside, the Nismo treatment includes redesigned steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trim panels in addition to special suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats with red stitching.

Nissan haven’t released engine details yet, but the Juke Nismo is based on the 1.6 DiG-T turbo engine which has 190 bhp in the standard model. Expect the Nismo to have around 210 bhp, so not a massive increase but enough for a small jump in performance.

European sales of the Nissan Juke Nismo start in January 2013 and prices and details will be revealed in the next couple of days.
