Skoda release limited edition Yeti Urban

More kit for less money. What's not to like?

The Skoda Yeti is our favourite small SUV here at TorquingPoint. The combination of funky styling, low prices, high quality and decent economy put it straight to the top of our list.

So we can only be happy when they announce a new limited edition model for the UK with extra kit for less money. The Yeti Urban is based on the mid-level SE trim level but adds more than £2400 of extra equipment at no cost.

Outside the Urban gets new 17” black and silver ‘Matterhorn’ alloy wheels, fog lights, silver door mirror covers, roof rails, chrome side strips and black wheel arch extensions. All these small touches add to give the Urban an even better look, especially in white body colour.

The Yeti Urban is available in front wheel drive with manual transmission only, and comes with a choice of two engines. The petrol option is the frugal 1.2-litre TSI with 105 bhp, which offers fuel economy of 44.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 149 g/km. For diesel fans there's the popular 2.0-litre TDi with 110 bhp, which offers figures of 52.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 140g/km.

The car's exterior can be finished in one of four rich and vibrant colours, with no extra charges for metallic paint. The options are Black Magic pearl effect, Candy White, Brilliant Silver metallic and Steel Grey metallic.

The Yeti Urban goes on sale from the beginning of April priced at £16,900 for the petrol model and £18,330 for the diesel.
