BMW reveals M-Performance range of accessories

BMW attacks the tuners head-on...

Tuning firms around the globe regularly focus their attention on BMW cars. Their combination of style, luxury and a sporting driving experience puts them at the top of most driving enthusiast’s lists. But usually a large manufacturer like BMW doesn’t have too many extreme options so these tuners can go crazy with offering bodykits, styling parts and performance accessories. Well that is no longer the case…

To go with the recently launched M-Performance range of cars, BMW have now released details of the M-Performance range of accessories for the 1-, 3- and 5-Series models.

For the BMW driving enthusiast the M Performance Parts program provides increased performance and sportier styling with an aerodynamic package (front fascia with integrated splitter, diffuser inserts for the rear apron and side sills with M Performance inscription), 19- or 20-inch light alloy wheels, a performance braking system and top stripes. Other components include a carbon fibre rear spoiler, side skirts, carbon exterior mirror caps and black kidney grilles. Together they create a very good look, especially the package for the 3-Series as this is the sportiest look we can have until the M3 comes along.

Interior components include BMW M Performance steering wheel with Race Display, interior strips in Alcantara/carbon, BMW M Performance stainless steel pedals and the gearshift lever knob and handbrake handle with Alcantara gaiter.

The BMW M Performance Parts will be rolled out in Europe this summer through authorized BMW dealers, while the Original BMW Accessories program is also still available offering all manner of more ‘normal’ accessories such as roof boxes, roof rails and specialist luggage.
