Jaguar reveals the XFR Speed Pack in Moscow

Jaguar feels the need... the need for speed!

Jaguar has unveiled the XFR Speed Pack at the Moscow Motor Show this week, giving the super saloon a few visual and mechanical tweaks.

Available on 2013 models, the package includes a new front splitter, a larger rear spoiler and it comes with the Black Pack as standard meaning all the chrome brightwork is replaced with gloss black pieces. The

The styling changes are minor, but the Speed Pack wouldn’t be right without something relating to speed, so it also has an increased speed limiter which enables the model to top out at 174 mph. This change necessitated a revised ECU and new transmission software. This is also the reason behind the styling changes as they stabilise the car at the new top speed.

Besides the Speed Pack, Jaguar unveiled their new all-wheel drive system for the XF and XJ. Available exclusively on models equipped with the supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine - that produces 333 bhp and 332 lb/ft of torque - the all-wheel drive system is rear-biased and actively anticipates wheel slippage. Unfortunately it looks unlikely that the all-wheel drive system will be available in the UK.

Prices have yet to be set for the XKR Speed Pack. The Paris Motor Show is likely to be a big one for Jaguar as they may be revealing the production version of the F-Type, along with a rumoured XFR Sportbrake.
